Want to try the game before you spend money on it? Or make sure that it will run properly on your system? Then this handy playable demo is just what you're looking for!

The demo lets you explore the first areas of the game, including the first dungeon and boss. Character growth for the demo is capped at level 10. Once you reach that, your characters won't get any more experience or grow any stronger.

As you play the game, your progress and settings will be saved to the following directory, based on your operating system:

• Windows: My Games\Another Star\Demo in your My Documents folder.
• Linux: Another Star\Demo in the .local/share directory of your user folder.
• OS X: Another Star\Demo in your ~/Library/Application Support directory.

The save files from this version are compatible with the full game, and can be copied to the base Another Star folder to use them once you've bought the game.

(You can also choose to save in the demo's install folder from the in-game options menu. If you do this, your progress will be saved in the "Save Data" folder, wherever you put the demo executable.)
