Random character #7682. Got several sketches of this same character this week in fact, but there wasn’t any real need to scan all of them, now was there?

Sketchbook Monday #40
She’s really rocking away on that guitar!
Kid wearing a knit ski cap. My attempt at being trendy? Don’t know, but I’d like to use this basic design somewhere, methinks.
A redesign of a character from a webcomic idea. Had things turned out just a little differently, you would have ended up with this kid instead of Jessie and Swordmaster Odyssey. (Well, actually, he wasn’t the main character, so I guess it would be more correct to say “instead of Kevin and Swordmaster Odyssey.”)
Sketchbook Monday #39
Still playing with that same character design. This time I tried shorts with long stockings for a “trendier” feel… I guess…
Sketchbook Monday #38
Who is this mysterious woman? Is she the one who recently appeared on the cover of Swordmaster Odyssey Chapter 7 with Thanatos, Silver, and the masked man? What is her connection with those three?
A cute little sketch of Jessie that I did.
Not sure what this little guy is, but I felt like drawing something with goggles. He’s pretty cute, I guess.
Sketchbook Monday #37
Wow, I haven’t really sketched these characters since #14…
‘Tis the princess. If you may recall, she has been forced to disguise herself as a commoner in order to escape across the border after a particuarlly nasty revolution overthrows the government that her once father ruled.
I think this is a cute pose for some reason.
Concept sketch for the princess’s commoner outfit.
Concept sketch for the thief kid’s outfit. His feet are a little big here, methinks.
Sketchbook Monday #36
Decided to get this through with this morning before I tore the computer apart. Today’s Sketchbook Monday consists of four characters from a game idea I may actually get around to developing. One day. Maybe.
…
Yeah right. XD Anywho, if you’ve seen any of my stuff prior to Vision Riders, you’ll probably recognize at least the first one.
Glenn, the valiant paladin. A powerful warrior, he wanders the world fighting to protect those who need his help. He always seems to know what to do and no opponent is beyond his skill. Although a bit arrogant at times, his formost goal as a paladin is to ensure that justice is maintained throughout the land.
Garret, the noble thief. Sneaky and quick, he often finds himself teaming up with Glenn as their skill sets compliment each other. While Glenn relies on overpowering his enemies, Garret outlasts them, wearing them down slowly.
The mysterious warrior that joins the others late into their main quest. He conceals himself and his movements, and his goals are not always so clear. As can be expected, he probably knows more than he’s willing to tell.
Xavier, the main antagonist. He rarely faces the group head-on, preferring to pull the strings in the background. But is his objective as clear as it seems?
Sketchbook Monday #35
Wow! This has got to be the latest update yet (not counting the Sketchbook Mondays that I missed). So I guess this is a Sketchbook Thursday… I really need to get better at keeping this up. I mean, I’ve yet to miss a webcomic update, and that’s far harder to do!
Just random guy #548. I may use him for something one day, but then again… Maybe I won’t. 😛
Sketchbook Monday #34
‘Tis Jordan, from our upcoming animated series Procyon! He hasn’t shown up in any of the scenes I’ve animated yet, so I try to sketch him every now and then to refine his design, as well as keep it in my memory.
Mouth and nose, together at last!
No real story behind this boy. Just something I felt like sketching.
Iccari Concept Art
Forgot to put this up here ealier.
It’s Iccari, who’s shown up in a Sketchbook Monday or two. Had the urge to toy around with his design a bit in color.
Did this concept piece to test a painting style I want to use for the illustrations in a story. Only problem is, it turned out nothing like the painting style I want to use. 😛 I want a very light and low-contrast look to it, almost like a watercolor. Guess I’ll have to keep trying–not that I don’t like this piece, of course!
Lineart done with just a simple #2 pencil with some slight modifications in the computer. Painted using Photoshop CS.
Oh, and speaking of Sketchbook Monday, I should have that up in a couple of hours.
Sketchbook Monday #33
Last week, I noted that I reseve the right to skip work on a holiday. Well, it just so happens that I consider my birthday a holiday, so now we’ve got two “Sketchbook Tuesdays” in a row! 😛
A character idea I sketched out. I have a tendancy to put ponytails on anything that moves, so I may axe her ponytail later if I use this design for anything. I honestly try to make each character different.
A more fleshed out version of the above character. Her head seems off a bit though, I’m afraid.
